Hello! I'm surprised to update again so soon, but a lot of updates have happened.
Opened my Shop
Last weekend I opened my art shop. I've had extra zines in my home for months from the in-person event I went to back in November. I also made a photocard set that I'm very happy with and would love to share them people people. Opening a shop had been on my mind for years, but I was very afraid to take the plunge. I always convinced myseld that I wasn't yet ready for one, and I honestly still might not be, but I wanted to try it. Please visit my main page and follow the link to see what I have available. I enjoy making new objects, but I don't have any plans on mass producing so my quantities of anything besides zines will be limited.
Made my Game Archive
This has also been on the back burner for a while, mostly because it's not very urgent. Anyone can click on my itch.io link and see the games and assets that I'm made. However, I was reminded of the game I made and didn't release publicly. I called it Bloodbags because that's what the role play story I was basing it off of was called. My friend and I have been writing that story for years now, so it was easy to pick a small section to edit into a kenetic visual novel. Visual novels always felt like the most approachable games for me since I don't consider myself very technical and the strongest skill I could bring to a game is art. Even though it felt more plausible for me to do, the learning curve was intense and I had to scale back on my goals as I went. Looking back on it years later, I'm still quite happy with my results and what I learned. It was an experiment to see if I liked making games and I am proud of the limitations I put on myself so I could get the project done in one month. Once it was done, I shared it with a handful of friends who had gotten curious about it .
Having made two visual novels now (One has been unfinished for a couple years), I know I'm not interested in being a solo dev. I don't want to do everything involved in making a game. I hope one day to join a game jam and made some game friends, so I can collaborate with someone on a game, but right now my life is too chaotic finish a game within a jam period.
